Naked Ranga – Georg – first came to Blaze with their patience-of-a-saint partner, Noemi Bat Thing, in 2016. Late one night that year John Mack walked past their open caravan door and saw them sitting inside looking like the only normal people left in the world. John was having – as many first timers do – one of those, “I no longer know what’s happening to me” moments. Despite the urge to stop and say hello John was too shy to introduce himself. The moral of the story: stop and say hello at Blaze.
A year later they all hooked up at the Jilakin Rock Library (as it was known in those days). Georg brings many larger than life qualities to Blaze – and everywhere. First red-ness of hair and white-ness of everything else. You can imagine a distant ancestor taking on and knocking the stuffing out of the Roman Legions in the Teutoburg forest – sword and giant shield in hand, wearing a pink fru-fru and psychedelic leotards, shouting encouragement and charging fearlessly into the fray.
2,000 years later (and a bit) we have a more gentled version of Georg – just as red and pale though. And just as fearless in his dedication to nudism and colourful outfits. And just as talented in wielding sword and shield in Court (something that lawyers do) until his recent retirement. Georg’s loyalty to the tribe is still there just as strong too, to family and friends and the tribe of Blaze among many others.
Georg’s passions in life can be best summed up in three F’s – family, friendship and fishing. When not librarian-ing Georg is a long-time Ranger who still ‘gifts’ and ‘gets’ the wonder of Blaze.
