Five reasons why we’ll never knowingly use Artificial Intelligence in constructing this webpage or operating Camp Bibliophilia:
– Firstly, AI technology has largely been captured by billionaires who are using it to further concentrate their wealth and impoverish the rest of us.
– Secondly, AI is created by hoovering up everything humans ever composed, usually without permission of the original author or artist.
– Thirdly, as AI runs out of things to steal made by humans, it starts feeding on it’s own output and begins to lose it’s (tiny artificial) mind
– Fourthly, the prejudices of the people who set up (and own) the AI systems become part of the system, in ways that aren’t transparent
– Lastly, we have too much dammed self respect.
