How will we know if one of our books has been gifted and no longer available ? In the past we’ve offered visitors the chance to ‘stamp’ their books out with our Big Rubber Stamp. In 2027 we’ll also ‘scan’ the books with a barcode reader, which will automatically update our computerised library catalogue. Which means we’ll be attaching around 600 barcode labels to books that don’t currently have one. More work now, but it should make ‘checkout’ a breeze.
