Gifting beyond Blaze

This is a book that went to Blaze one year and came home again. Most years we end up gifting about half the books we take. We’re ok with that. It just means that the person who’s been waiting their whole life for that book just wasn’t at Blaze that year. So we’ll bring it back next year. Turns out though, the person who was yearning after this book was in Georgia, USA. The WA Fungi Society post beautiful pictures of fungi on facebook which I used to follow, and I noticed one day a plea for anyone who might have a copy of this book to contact them. Turned out there was a famous fungi person in Georgia whose library was missing only this particular volume, but he couldn’t afford the $1,000 he’d been quoted for it. It actually comes up for sale for anything between $400 and $1600. So of course we sent it to him, for free. And paid the postage. We’ve never sold a book, never will.
