We’re still waiting for the movie where a mild mannered geometrician (Billy Crystal) helps a mob boss (Robert De Niro) plot all the angles.  Meanwhile we’ve been doing a bit a surveying work ourselves.  I thought it had Roman roots, but we’re actually using the technology brought to us in a round-about way by the Arabs (in Spain) who’d learnt a thing or two from the ancient Greeks about trigonometry.  Normally we wouldn’t be so finnicky, but we’re getting a 6 tonne shipping container dropped off in the middle of our Theme Camp site at Blazing Swan 2025.  It’s a good idea to know in advance exactly where to put it, because we got some more big structures coming (including 2 x 6m diameter bell tents) and they all have to fit together in a fairly small space.
